Linguavate Hub
Teaching African languages — live now with Nigerian Pidgin
The Problem
Learners of African languages often lack structured, interactive platforms that combine courses, live instructor chat, assessments, and professional language services in one place — especially for languages like Nigerian Pidgin that are widely spoken but rarely taught online.
Our Solution
Linguavate Hub is built to teach African languages at scale. Today it is live for Nigerian Pidgin — the first language on the platform — with a full LMS, digital library, blog, and public services site. Students enrol in courses, work through multimedia lessons, take weighted assessments, earn certificates, and chat with instructors in real time. Instructors author courses with a rich editor; administrators manage users and content. Built with React, Next.js, Node.js, MySQL, and Socket.IO, the platform is designed to expand to more African languages next.
Impact
- Mission‑focused on African language education, with Nigerian Pidgin live today
- Complete LMS with role‑based dashboards for learners, instructors, and admins
- Real‑time chat and forums to support active learning
- Certificate generation and progress tracking built in
- Architecture ready to add more African languages as the catalogue grows
