Full academic publishing platform for Federal Polytechnic Nekede
The Problem
Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, lacked a professional online platform to publish and index their academic journals and books. Research output was difficult to access, manuscripts were handled manually, and the institution had no digital presence for global scholarly discovery.
Our Solution
We designed and built a complete academic publishing platform (acadjournals.fpno.edu.ng) hosting three journals and a book catalogue. The public site offers browsing by issue, search, abstracts, and PDF downloads. Authors can submit manuscripts online. A secure admin dashboard lets editorial staff manage articles, books, issues, and submissions. The platform includes rich metadata (Google Scholar tags, Dublin Core, Schema.org), an OAI-PMH endpoint, RSS feeds, and SEO sitemaps — ensuring the polytechnic’s research is indexed and discoverable worldwide.
